About EduMawu

Building the digital backbone for schools across Ghana and Africa.

EduMawu was founded after our team watched, first-hand, how much time school administrators lose to paperwork that technology could easily handle — report cards compiled by hand late into the night, admissions queues stretching around the block, and fee ledgers kept in exercise books. We believed schools across Ghana and Africa deserved software built specifically for how they actually operate, not adapted from tools designed for a different market.

Our mission is simple: give every school, regardless of size or budget, access to the same quality of administrative and learning technology that the best-resourced institutions in the world take for granted. That means building for the realities of intermittent connectivity, mobile money payments, and staff who may be using a computer system for the first time — not designing around them as edge cases.

Our vision is a future where no headteacher spends their evenings manually calculating class averages, no parent has to take a day off work to submit an admission form, and no student's learning stops just because their data bundle ran out.

We hold ourselves to a small set of values in how we build: start with the person actually using the system, design for the network you have rather than the one you wish you had, and never let technology get in the way of teaching and learning.

Our Mission

We exist to remove the administrative friction that keeps school leaders and teachers from focusing on what matters most — their students. Every feature we build starts with a real problem we've seen a school face, from report card season chaos to admissions queues, and is tested with actual schools before it ships.
