EduMawu ("we", "us", or "our") provides school information system, admissions, and learning management software to schools across Ghana and Africa. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when schools, staff, students, and parents use our services.

We collect information provided directly by schools during setup and use of our platform, including student records (names, dates of birth, academic history, attendance, and guardian contact details), staff records, and financial transaction data related to school fees. We also collect basic usage data, such as login activity and device information, to help us maintain and improve the service.

How We Use Information

Information collected through EduMawu is used solely to provide the services a school has signed up for — running attendance, generating report cards, processing admissions, and delivering course content. We do not sell student or school data to third parties, and we do not use student data for advertising purposes.

Aggregated, anonymised data may be used internally to improve our products, for example to understand which features are most used or where performance can be improved, but this never includes information that could identify an individual student.

Data Sharing

We share data with third-party service providers only where necessary to operate the platform, such as cloud hosting providers, SMS gateways, and payment processors, all of whom are contractually bound to protect that data and use it only for the purpose we've engaged them for.

Data Retention and Security

School data is retained for as long as a school's account remains active, and is encrypted both in transit and at rest. Schools can request a full export or deletion of their data at any time by contacting us.

Parents and staff members with questions about the personal data held about them or their children should contact their school administrator in the first instance, who can request changes or deletion on their behalf through our platform.
