Entering Grades and Generating Report Cards

Scores are entered against an Assessment — a test, homework, or exam tied to a specific subject and class — using an Assessment Type catalogue your school defines (Class Test, Homework, Examination, and so on). Each type carries a weight, and EduMawu automatically buckets anything named "Examination" into the exam weighting while everything else counts toward continuous assessment, so a final grade reflects a configurable split like 30% CA / 70% Exam rather than a flat average. Teachers work through their subjects from the Manage Assessments screen, which can be filtered by term and by completion status, so nothing gets missed before a deadline.

Once scores are in, grades don't go out automatically — an authorized reviewer runs an approval pass per year group, with deadlines enforced and an approval-rate indicator showing how much is still outstanding, so a school always knows exactly where a term's grading stands. Final letter grades are calculated against your school's own grading bands (the score ranges that map to each grade), which also feed WAEC/BECE-style result reporting where needed.

Report cards are generated per class straight from the approved scores, styled with your school's own logo and header, and ready to print or save as a PDF — no separate formatting step required.
